Located at our Canton, OH facility and reporting to the General Manager as our Project Manager, you will be responsible for plans and specifications to complete work for customers through design and identification of resources required for installation, retrofit and repair assignments.

Responsibilities:
  • Review engineered mechanical plans and specifications - HVAC, plumbing, piping, gas, and sheet metal
  • Construct material takeoff for plumbing, piping and HVAC systems
  • Prepare a complete mechanical bid that includes material, labor and other applicable costs
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Team members to compile material costs
  • Work directly with outside vendors and subcontractors to compile equipment and subcontract costs
  • Create, sell and manage planned maintenance contracts
  • Account management to include current customer and developing new customers and accounts
  • Coordinate with team members to meet bid deadlines
  • Communicate the estimation data for review and approval if necessary
  • Communicate and coordinate with technicians to create proposals as necessary
  • Ability to perform site surveys and equipment evaluations to create proposals for owner direct replacement, redesign and/or retrofit projects
  • Ability to present the project to the customer and manage the project as appropriate
  • Ability to go to job sites and evaluate work progress and needs. Especially critical for determining ability to meet deadlines and/or work demands
  • Provide technical support to technicians
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical estimating experience preferred
  • Mechanical system knowledge should include heating, cooling, air distribution building automation, plumbing and other mechanical systems
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAD and BIM
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to learn and navigate ERP project management system
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and operations in order to effectively create proposals with new equipment and systems in order to meet customer needs
  • Must have a valid driver license and acceptable driving record

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in an office environment

Ability to drive a vehicle for the purpose of visiting job sites and customers
