Overview
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, Director of Operations, or Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Laborers are responsible for effective preventative and planned maintenance of site assets as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry.
This is a part-time, as needed position, with no minimum number of hours guaranteed.
Work schedules are determined by event activity on an as needed basis.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.

Responsibilities
Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of the facility and equipment
Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision
Operate a wide variety of equipment used in the maintenance of the facility such as saws, drills, torches, sanders, cutters, grinders, and other maintenance equipment
Drive vans, pick-up trucks, forklifts, high-lifts, floor scrubbers, and other vehicles as required
Grasp, hold, bend and twist a wide range of tools, equipment and materials
Assist in installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and related equipment; mixing and matching paints, stains, and painting
Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, faucets, sinks, and other plumbing facilities; repair and maintenance of the facility to include chairs, tables, doors, windows and other articles and fixtures
Operate software-based tasks controlling the HVAC equipment and lighting controls for the center
Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment; repair and maintenance of various other tools and equipment
Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance tasks on assigned equipment in the maintenance department
Clean and organize work sites as directed
Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma, or equivalent GED
Must be available to work flexible hours and days including early morning, days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
Knowledge Of:
Proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to job functions
Applicable safety rules and procedures
Customer Service practices
Ability To:
Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision
Work independently and as a part of a team
Perform general labor related tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Grasp, hold, bend and twist a wide range of tools, equipment and materials
Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and facility users
