Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Grading Laborer to work at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The Grading Laborer performs various manual labor tasks in preparing surfaces for grading.

Pay: $20-23

Shift/Schedule: Full Time Day Job w/ Nights and Weekends as needed

Responsibilities

The Grading Laborer will:

  • Shovel aggregate base course material and or dirt
  • Ability to learn grade and slopes
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, in all types of
  • Weather conditions
  • Willing to perform multiple job tasks.
  • Guide truck to dump material where needed
  • Able to perform work Safely
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • No experience necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
  • Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated heights
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
