We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Facilities Carpenter to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You'll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Custom Fabrication: Build, assemble, and install custom cabinetry, vanities, and built-in units tailored to project specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions and materials required.
  • Material Estimation: Calculate materials, measurements, and project pricing to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Tool Operation: Safely operate woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
  • Installation: Install cabinets, doors, frameworks, and other wooden fixtures with precision and attention to detail.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify the quality of completed work, ensuring adherence to CGA's high standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow established safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, contractors, and other team members to deliver projects that meet client expectations.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Proven experience in custom cabinetry or finish carpentry, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications.
  • Material Estimation: Proficiency in calculating material costs and project pricing.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check, as this role involves working within municipal facilities.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., work on ladders, and perform tasks that require physical strength and endurance.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to delivering work with precision, ensuring level, fit, and finish meet CGA's quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with cabinet-making software or CNC machinery.
  • Tool Ownership: Possession of personal tools is preferred but not required.
  • Leadership: Ability to supervise a team of carpenters. when necessary.
  • Style Versatility: Knowledge of both modern and traditional cabinet styles and construction techniques.

Salary Range:$21 - $25 per hour
