Job Description
Job Summary:
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation in support of both Erlanger in-house performed projects as well as those that are contracted.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment with hospital standards and regulations.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet key objectives and communicate the same to stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all work meets Erlanger, regulatory and code standards.
- Responsible for engagement of user group as appropriate to ensure projects are designed in such way as to maximize the value to Erlanger and our ability to care for our patients.
- Manages a team of internal construction professionals that self-perform construction of delegated projects.
- Appropriately and efficiently balances internally performed construction with contracted work to maintain project schedule and budget while appropriately prioritizing other tasks and projects.
- Ensures that projects are executed to the highest standards of infection prevention and risk mitigation.
- Promotes a culture of safety on all construction sites with specific focus on patient safety and infection prevention procedures.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including permits, inspection records, and documents related to DNV compliance and CMS standards.
- Conducts project meetings with stakeholders including Pre-Construction Risk Assessments, Interim Life Safety Reviews and Infection Prevention huddles.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor's in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
Experience:
Required: (5) years-experience leading construction projects

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required: Licensed as a General Contractor in the State of Tennessee
Preferred: CHC certification (Certified Healthcare Constructor w/ American Hospital Association)
Department Position Summary:
Responsible for all Erlanger construction projects from strategic development to occupying of the space in a cost effective, timely and quality manner.
