Summary
The Construction Inspector serves as a key member of the Trophy Point team and provides project supervision for construction projects. This individual is the Construction Manager's representative at the site, will act as directed by and under the supervision of the Construction Manager and will confer with the Construction Manager regarding the Construction Inspector's actions. This individual must be able to fully express thoughts in writing and compile summary reports. This individual must have the ability to perform with the highest degree of independence, and effectiveness, in the field or in the office, within parameters established through the project plans and specifications.
Role & Responsibilities
Works closely with the Construction Manager to understand day-to-day tasks
Reads and understands plans and specifications to determine information for inspection work items during and after construction
Monitors and inspects construction projects
Tracks all pay items
Calc sheets and red-line drawing development
Ensures contractors follow the project plans and specifications in accordance with applicable construction procedures, methods, and codes
Collects and records measurements as needed
Reviews equipment, materials, and workmanship for compliance to contract documents
Documents any differences between contract documents and actual work in place
Tracks daily progress of construction work completed and documents in reports
Reviews testing reports (soils, steel, concrete, masonry, etc.)
Creates daily reports of site activities and events
Documents the construction progress with site reports, photos, etc.
Monitors construction schedule (Critical Path Method) to ensure project is on schedule
Facilitates communications between owner, contractors, and designers on project
Maintains appropriate project records using applicable forms provided by the Owner, electronic tools, and standard procedures.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with co-workers, support and build others on the team and across disciplines/offices

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Highly organized and capable of multi-tasking.
Strong communication skills are required in the form of written and verbal modes. The ideal candidate must be capable of effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience as someone who is thorough and has an "eye-for-detail."
