Why does the job exist?
The Health Surveyor Supervisor/Investigator - Supervisor will:
Conduct and review investigations of abuse, neglect and exploitation for individuals served on Medicaid Waivers (Developmental Disability, Medically Fragile, Mi Via and Supports Waiver) ;
Supervise five investigators.
How does it get done?
The Health Surveyor - Supervisor/Investigator Supervisor is responsible for:
Conducting professional supervisory reviews of investigations;
Assisting in complex investigations when necessary;
Training and mentoring of employees;
Coordinating with outside and internal stakeholders and agencies.

The individuals receiving Medicaid waiver services

The ideal candidate will:

Have investigative experience
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing, Architecture, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Rehabilitation, and /or Criminal Justice and two (2) years directly related experience in community based healthcare services and case management. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

• Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting ,attending meetings, visiting provider agencies, extensive computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be available to work on-call & Standby.
