Job Description
The Mechanical General Foreman is involved with managing commercial mechanical construction projects and assists with project needs including material management, personnel, schedules and communication with project management team, customers and building officials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in-house shop drawings.
  • Ability to coordinate with other trades to complete HVAC/piping installations within project scope and schedule.
  • Experience managing project crews to install multiple types of HVAC and Duct Systems.
  • Ability to manage a commercial HVAC/piping construction project.
  • Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment.
  • Understanding / complies with the company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees.
  • Involved with completing required electronic documentations including daily reports, next week plans, accident reports, disciplinary reports, etc.
  • Able to install mechanical systems to included HVAC equipment, duct, piping and relatable materials with the use of hand tools and power tools, as needed.
  • Able to work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

  • 8 years of experience as a mechanical foreman on commercial construction projects.
  • 8 years of experience leading teams of 3+ direct reports
  • Current / valid journeyman license
  • Current / valid master license preferred
  • OSHA 30 hour, preferred.
  • Able to work from ladders and man lifts from various heights and operate the equipment as needed

  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
  • Ability to pass MVR check
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
