Position Overview

As the Construction Engineer Intern, you will be responsible of supporting the day-to-day administrative functions within your department.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Performs assignments to carry out construction estimating tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  • Assists Estimators, Project Coordinators and Office Staff in all areas of Construction administrative related duties
  • Assists in documentation related to daily activities and all construction related documents and not limited to bid notifications, plans & specs, customer follow-ups and project handoffs
  • Works under supervision of the Branch Manager
  • Creates and maintains centralized files for project records (including digital)
  • Attends and takes minutes for the development team as requested
  • Helps in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports
  • Contacts and coordinates with Suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Assist in project handoffs to operations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven time management and follow-through skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-oriented environment

  • Maintain a tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse personnel

Education and/or Experience
  • Pursuing a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering program, and or has bachelor's degree in related field
  • Intern experience/coursework in construction projects high volume environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Microsoft Project. Knowledge of estimating software a plus.
