Position Summary:

The Project Manager Level 1 - provides integrated technical and project management support across the lifecycle of facilities projects, from planning and design through construction and closeout. Embedded with the federal government at a Department of Defense (DoD) site, this position is responsible for supporting project execution, field survey coordination, document review, and communication with stakeholders.

Working under the guidance of a senior Project Manager, the Project Manager Level 1 assists in contract administration, technical evaluation, design review, and as-built documentation. The role demands strong knowledge of BIM/CAD tools, LIDAR scanning, and a working understanding of federal project delivery methods. This role combines field-based data collection and office-based technical and management support.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a technical point of contact on assigned projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders, contractors, and government personnel.
  • Participate in project meetings and regular conference calls to provide updates, address issues, and coordinate future work.
  • Oversee and provide quality assurance for the work of others.
  • Draft project correspondence, reports, and formal communications to various stakeholders.
  • Conduct site evaluations and field surveys using LIDAR scanning equipment and manual measurement tools.
  • Generate and update Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and Master Record Drawings based on as-built data.
  • Compile BIM datasets and assist in maintaining accurate facility documentation in collaboration with the Integrated Technology Division (ITD).
  • Perform technical design reviews from concept through 100% design submissions.
  • Utilize software such as GIS, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Recap to develop project documentation for government use.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management with 5+ years of relevant experience OR
    An ACTIVE General Contractor/Construction Trades license with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a Public Trust clearance (HSPD-12 fingerprint background check).

Preferred:
  • Pentagon WHS experience is highly sought after.

Work Setting/Environment/Travel Requirements:
  • Monday through Friday, Normal business hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • 0-10% Travel - May need to travel to other Federal facilities within a 50-mile radius.
