Job Summary
The Construction Inspector UN is responsible for field inspection of Capital service installations and occasional simple main pipeline projects to ensure safe, efficient construction of capital infrastructure. The position is responsible for oversight of service line instalations and simple main construction projects to ensure work is completed safely and in complince with all company and regulatory standards. Duties and Responsibilities
50% Leadership under direct or general supervision. Contractor Inspection (small crew New Business Service)
20% Facility Records Updates, Turn ons, Odorant Testing (sniff tests)
20% Company Billing Systems (e.g. Fieldglass), Company Inspector Training Modules as needed.
5% Emergency Response when qualified.
5% Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent Interpersonal and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge of company work, environmental and safety practices including being Operator Qualified
Ability to interpret construction and vendor drawings and project documents
Ability to work independenty in a fast paced high pressure environment
Excellent Organization and Time Magement Skills
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Length of Experience: A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the construction or inspection of pipeline, service line and regulator station projects is preferred
Certifications: API-1169 Pipeline Construction Inspector, API-577 Welding Inspection, NACE Certification preferred
Licenses/Registrations: Valid drivers licence. Must obtain PA drivers licence if current license is from another state.
Other: Demonstrable computer skills and/or aptitude
