Job Description
The I&E Construction Coordinator is the Company field representative for the I&E capital projects team. The Coordinator reports directly to the Company Management Team. The Coordinators are responsible for checking all contractor installations to ensure that they comply with engineering drawings, specifications, client requirements, latest applicable code requirements, and that work is executed in a professional and quality manner. Construction Coordinators report progress and problems to the Management Team. Construction Coordinators must have a thorough knowledge of all construction work scope, drawings, specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:
? Monitoring construction work for safe work practices, monitoring of quality and compliance with project requirements and performing Job Observations.
? Insuring that client Safety Rules and Regulations are observed
? Monitoring construction progress and reporting potential delays.
? Witnessing special tests such as weld NDE/radiographs, hydrotests, loop checks, load tests, electrical testing, equipment alignments, etc.
? Coordinating inspection / QA operations with plant operations.
? Coordinating equipment preparation needs and work permitting with plant operations.
? Documenting all quality surveillance and test results.
? Timely communication with Company project manager regarding all project / contractor related issues, all field change orders, and progress.
? Transmittal of all contractor timesheets & paperwork in a timely manner to Company project manager
? Routine Safety, LOTO, and Housekeeping Audits for all project work.
? Coordination of work between multiple contractors to ensure contractor schedule coordination and delays are minimized.
? Communication to project manager and other construction coordinators any activities that need to occur in your absence.
? Meet with project engineer weekly on status of each project and assist with updating the weekly and future work activities per project.
? Knowledge of each contractor purchase order, ensure timesheets & material invoices are charged to correct PO.
-Experience with Planning is a plus, SAP experience is a plus.
-Must have or be able to obtain TWIC prior to start
-Must have 5+ years in I&E field construction supervision (preferably brownfield construction / TARs)
