Job Description
Job Title: Construction Bookkeeper
Location: North San Antonio, Texas (On-site)
Pay Rate: $24 - $28 per hour
Internal Job ID: 10041996
Addison Group is seeking a Construction Bookkeeper for a contract-to-hire role with our client in San Antonio, Texas. This position requires at least five years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry and offers up to $28 per hour, based on experience. The ideal candidate will have experience managing job costing, AP/AR processes, and financial reporting within a construction setting.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform job cost tracking and allocate expenses to specific projects.
Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
Assist with payroll processing, including reviewing timecards and handling direct deposits.
Prepare and post journal entries for financial transactions.
Manage non-PO payments, including utilities, rentals, subcontractor expenses, and vehicle costs.
Assist with financial reporting and month-end close processes.
Maintain compliance with construction industry regulations and tax requirements.
Requirements:
5+ years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
Experience with job costing and project-based accounting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of construction contracts, lien waivers, and AIA billing is a plus.
